"Infinity"

In numerology, 2006 is an "8" year (adding up the numbers of the year). 8 is the symbol of infinity and it is appropriate therefore for this year that we get in touch with our infinite capacity for being.

The 8 is two loops, joined together at a single point. If you think about yourself having two cycles of lives, each time moving out from a still point at the centre, you realise that you return to that point – in fact you never left it because you were always anchored to it at all times on your journeying.

Take the time now to think about returning to that still centre point and be aware that it has the capacity to take you to the infinite point of your being. In fact it is the point and if you stay long enough in your centre point you can touch your infinite potential. Meditate on this point – imagine you are there sitting observing the flow of your life and realising that you can simply observe as well as taking part in it. That way we reach objectivity and get a sense of proportion to what is going on.

Be aware also that you can move and align your own energies by using the figure 8 in thought or action. Tracing figure 8 movements with your hands or whole arms integrates brain functions and gets the meridians flowing well. Moving your eyes in a horizontal then vertical figure 8, like making a clover leaf, with the point in front of your third eye, balances the sight and brings focus on the point in your life. Imagining or tracing a figure 8 horizontal to the ground around yourself and another person, with the point in between you, helps smooth the energies between you so that you harmonise with each other more easily. Try holding someone's hands, your right to their right and your left to theirs, making a figure 8 between you and feel the energy flowing one way and then the other. Keep reversing the polarity and you will find a still point of balance between you. When the flow is both ways at once, they cancel each other out and reach stillness.
